Early Vintage circa 1930's GoodQuality, Swiss Manufactured gentleman's Wrist watch by'Cauny' featuring Strong Art Deco Styling of the period boasting a Chromium rectangular case with Scrolled terminals and a silvered dial with black enamel Roman Chapter Gallery relief display along with sub-seconds dial, Silver hour and minute hands are intact and in good order as is sub-seconds hand, dial is signed'Cauny Geneve - Ancre 15 Rubis - Antimagnetic - Swiss Made' the original convex crystal is intact to the dial and in undamaged condition, vintage leather strap is in place to the case lugs and in fair condition for old age. The watch movement can be removed from the watch case for study and reveals itself to be a split three quarter plate affair, 15 jewel set in steel with jewelled, weighted and compensated balance with breguette hairspring and Swiss Anchor escapement, palette is marked for Swiss Made - 15 Jewels. Watch case is marked to the case back for'Fond Acier Inoxydable' indicating Stainless steel, as noted the case front and bezel is in chromium plated metal. The watch case measures 4 cm x 2.8 cm x 7 mm in dimension, total length of the watch including strap is 21.7 cm.
